The Usual festivity that accompany the Joy after Child's Birth, was the atmosphere at the State Chairman,  National Union Of Road Transport Workers NURTW, Cross River State, Country home, Comr. Amb. Idoko Anthony Odey, commonly Known as Simmy Joe. His Nyanya residence welcome his Kinsmen who are also Members of his Original Branch of  NURTW which he once served in various capacities before his elevation to the Position of State Chairman, NURTW Cross River State. His Branch of Birth and ladder to his exalted status today, a place he hold dearly and appreciate so much for believing in him and offers him a platform to achieve his potential and serve his people in a higher level, he said he cannot be ungrateful to say 'Thank You' for their Visit.

 The Bekwarra NURTW Leaders, elders and members, were in their large numbers, to welcome home their Son after being Inaugurated as The State Chairman, at the visit were: Comr. David Agwu NURTW Chairman Bekwarra Branch who lead others, Hon Ebeshi Paul Abem, former NURTW Secretary, Comr. Clement Ishim Adiyongo, former chairman NURTW Bekwarra Branch, Comr. Ben Eneji, Comr. Moses Odido, Patron Comr. Emma Uwuaya, Comr. Agwu Ushie, Patron, Comr. Enya Anduruku, Comr. Sani Ugbanni, Hon Comr. Achikpo Obule, and many others.

During the Visit NURTW Bekwarra Drivers and  Stakeholders, Charged the Newly inaugurated State Chairman, to change the narratives in National Union, be proactive and Carry everybody along. they added that the State Chairman is a man of proven Integrity and Capacity tested while Praying for his success in Office and wishing him Greater Progress to even occupy the number one Executive seat in the state, because he has proved to be over qualify for the plum job.

The annual football tournament, organized by General Emmanuel Ejim Emekah, reached it Peak  with the final played between Beten and Ugboro wards on the 31st of December,2023.
