FAMILY, FRIENDS AND WELL WISHERS, JOINS MINISTER IN THANKSGIVING AND APPRECIATION TO GOD.

The Minister of Sports Development, Sen. John Owan Enoh on Saturday 6th of January,2024, in his home parish Holy Family Catholic Church Ikom in Cross River State went to the altar of God full of appreciation and Thanks for what God did in his live and for the victory of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the supreme Court, affirming him as the duly elected president.
The Minister emphasize the important of thanking God for the victory of the president at Supreme Court, stating that the victory is what is keeping all of them at the Federal Executive Council today while declaring his total support for his Excellency Sen. Bassey Otu and the rumors of his ambition to run for the top seat in the State as handwork of destructors as he is fully in support of "four plus four" for the incumbent Governor comes 2027.
The Thanksgiving service witness array of dignitaries both within and outside the State. The present of His Excellency Sen. Bassey Otu through his Deputy Peter Odey, Deputy Governor of Cross River State, was so loud both at the Church and in the Township Stadium the venue for the reception, others dignitaries presence include, Rt Hon. Elvert Ayambem, Speaker Cross State House of Assembly, Representatives of the Governor's of Ebonyi and Enugu States, Hon. Peter Akpeke member house of Reps, Representing Obalinku, Bekwarra and Obodu federal Constituency, various Commissioners and government officials, Alhaji Ismail Abubakar, Permanent Secretary Federal Ministry of Sports Development who was everywhere making sure things work, Bishop of Ogoja diosas who was the chief Mass celebrant, Rev, Dr. fr. Peter Obele the Parish Priest and many Priests including traditional leaders across the State were amongst others that grace the Thanksgiving.
Speaking on the significance of Thanksgiving some of the dignitaries bear their minds, the immediate past chief of staff to former Gov. Ben Ayade, Hon. Martin Orim equal it's to a grateful heart who always appreciate anything given to him "when you thank God, God increased you" he said. Hon Barr. Ekpenyong Akiba, Special Adviser General Duties to Cross River State Governor, described the Minister of Sport Development as "people's leader" and a pillar of APC in Cross River State. main while the president of Nigeria Deaf sports federation Alhaji Suleiman S. Dagbo who is also chief Lecturer, Federal Collage of Education (Special) Oyo State, says he has to come to Ikom because of who the minister is, he acknowledged the simple nature of the minister and his leadership qualities to carry everybody along in the development of sports in the country.
At the Venue of the recipition, the Ikom Township Stadium, a mammoth crowd was waiting to receive the Minister of Sports Development at his arrival at the Stadium there was shout of jubilation to welcomed him even at this reception Venue more people came including top Securities Chief and many grass root politicians, there was entertainment of the guests by the veteran musician Sunny Neji and Comedian/Actor Ime Bishop Umoh aka 'Okon Lagos'  who thrilled their audience with highlife tones and ribs breaking jokes, there were also, displayed of colorful masquerades in their Numbers and enough to eat and drink, that is what characterize the Thanksgiving reception of the honourable Minister of sports development over the weekend at his Home Town Ikom.
