Pogu Lawan spoke during a phone call interview with the Editor of TNEN-News John M Tondo and others journalists on Tuesday at about 8:49pm, urging the people to give them their maximum support and vote for proper representation and also promised to deliver more dividends of democracy if elected.
  
He said, himself and his party APC has no any plans of engaging in anything that will lead to distraction of paece and conduct of Saturday bye-election in Chibok to not be free and fair, he says some person's maybe saying that APC is planning to take the victory by force which isn't ture, APC as a party and himself is fully ready for the upcoming bye-election and it's will be a peaceful election.


  
Hon. Pogu Lawan, say he has the acceptance of the good people of Chibok and during their campaign the people attend and gave him their support so, he believes they will do the same by supporting him on Saturday by coming out en mass to vote for him he said.
  
He expressed confident in the security agencies and Independent National Electoral Commission INEC and that the resident electoral commissioner too is a new person so, he believes his ready with his team for Saturday bye-election in Chibok.​

TNEN-News gather more about Hon. Pogu Lawan from his well wishers during the party primary election, the described him as a distinguish state man and a public servant who has made a significant contribution to the development of his party (APC) in Borno State and Chibok local government in particular.

They believe that his track records earned him an outstanding leadership qualities.

TNEN-News also gather that he has been demonstrating commitment to good governance, economic development and a social justice as a party stakeholder, he works tirelessly for the betterment of his people

He has served as local government party Chairman for over 8yrs, Borno State executive council (Commissioner, ministry for inter governmental affairs and special duties) two years and his emergence to fill in the vacancy earlier created as a result of the demised of Hon Dr Nuhu Clark is a clear indication of his wealthy of experience, knowledge and dedication to serving his people in this regard. This is a welcome development to his electorates across the LGA.

Hon Pogu Lawan was been presented with APC certificate of clearance to contest for the seat of Borno State House of Assembly bye-election that will hold on Saturday 3 February, 2024.

Speaking shortly after the presentation, Hon Pogu Lawan, expressed his profound gratitude to Almighty God for making his dream a reality. He also thanked his Excellency Prof Babagana Umara Zulum, the Executive Governor of Borno State for finding him capable to serve in his cabinet, remarking that he will always be loyal and committed to work in accordance with Governor Zulum for the actualisation of his 10 pack agenda.

As a committed and dedicated leader, who is always loyal to his Boss, Hon Pogu Lawan took his certificate to his Boss for blessings and consultation.

Rt. Hon. Ali Bukar Dalori, deputy National Chairman North East APC, commends him for his good leadership quality and proper representation and urged him to maintain the tempo.

The APC state party Chairman Hon Bello Ayuba also applaud him for his commitments and wish him victory in the bye-election and encourage the people of Chibok to come out en mass to support Hon. Pogu Lawan by voting for him, he believes with his past experience he will deliver dividends of democracy to the good people of Chibok.
