The house of Representatives Committee on  Disability in Collaboration with the center for ability Rehabilitation and Empowerment . Signing and Validation of a partnership Charter between aviation Stakeholders and PWD Travelers and Handing over the Disability service Desk and Equipment to National Commission for persons with Disabilities Ceremony Wednesday 28th February 2024 by 2.00pm meeting Room 244, House of Representatives wing , National Assembly Complex Abuja Fct.

The house committee  on disability held  their  first  event  with persons  with disability  recently  at the National  Assembly  , the event which was chaired  by the chairman  of the committee  Hon, Bashiru Dawodo  who said that  the Hon, Speaker of the house of  representatives  Hon, Abass created  the committee  to   foresee   the problem  facing person  with disability  and find possible solution  to  it. Hon Dawodo the Chairman Committee stress  that  the committee  has help in the establishment  of ten centres  for the noble project  of  disability  welfare.  

The chairman  maintain that   sign and volunteers  teachers  should  be adequately  encourage  and he appreciated the effort  of the  coordinator  of the CSO  Dr   Chike Okogwu for making  the programm  a reality . Also Dr Chike   said in his presentation that   he appreciate  the opportunity  to  members  of people   with disability  to set dialogue  with members  of the lower chamber to champions  their   burning issues.   

He expressed  satisfaction  over the assistance  given to them  by the  Aviation Industry  where they provide  special  seat for person with disability.  The senior  special  assistance  to the President  on  special Needs and Equal  opportunities, Hon Mohammed  Abass Isa who explained  that he is very happy  to be present at the meeting   and urge  the leadership  of the CSO not to relent if  there is need  for assistance . The SA to president  said  his office  is an open door policy for person  with disabilities  and other related matters ,he warned  that person  with disability  should not be  neglected so as to encourage and to keep the renew hope forward .
